Tim Jolley CEng MICE
At an early stage Tim Jolley gained experience in general civil engineering contracting and consultancy. Having become a Chartered Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers he specialised in contracting work including geotechnical works such as piling and underpinning.
This was combined with structural contracting works such as the creation of openings within existing/Listed buildings. During this period he moved several buildings complete and intact. Those included the Belle Tout Lighthouse, St Pancras Waterpoint and Bridge house Mersham. These works were carried out as Head of Special Contracts with Abbey Pynford.
In 2004 he formed Geostructural Solutions Limited and GSS Piling Ltd along with his business partner Andrew Parks. The company developed quickly, gaining a reputation as one of the market leaders in piling and underpinning work. Over the years, this has progressed into the formation of basements up to three stories below ground level under existing buildings. This work has taken place mainly in the prestigious parts of the West End such as Kensington, Chelsea and Mayfair.
In 2012 he resigned as a Director of Geostructural Solutions Limited and GSS Piling Ltd but continues to work as a consultant. In this way he has managed to stay actively involved in the industry whilst achieving a better work life balance.
